I couldn't be happier with a western pad than I am with my Kinequus pad. My saddle wasn't quite a perfect fit for my mare, Jo, and being a sensitive horse, she always lets me know when she is uncomfortable. Searching for something to help her out, I stumbled upon Kinequus. They truly care about making sure their product is comfortable for our horses. Jo had this experience first hand. Right after getting her a custom pad, fit by the professionals at Kinequus, I took her in a 3-day barrel racing clinic. She loved it, as she didn't show any signs of discomfort or soreness from the saddle at all. I will definitely be getting another pad for my gelding as well.Stephanie Warkentin - Barrel Racer
I ride dressage with an 18 year old Warmblood gelding. We have been using a custom saddle pad since July, and I believe it is making a positive difference for him. I ride in a single flap, close contact dressage saddle and the pad has not affected the feel or changed my balance in the saddle. Since we started using the pad, he has been taking better contact and tracking up more. He feels more willing to collect in his canter, and he is showing more activity with his hindquarters in the trot. I have experimented alternating rides with and without the pad, and am convinced that he is more comfortable and willing to use himself better when we use this pad!Debra Steiger & Dressage Equestrian.
These pads are going to change the way we think about saddle fit! My barrel horse is an extremely hard to fit horse. Not only does she have a huge shark fin of a wither, but it's also extremely narrow and continues this way down her back. Yet she has large shoulders. So for me to find a saddle with enough lift in the front and narrow in the gullet with a wide flare is extremely hard!! You either find one or the other. Thanks to the kinequus pad and the custom fitting, all the gaps are filled. I have the height and the flare out of the saddle I need and the pad fills everything in between. There are no more dry spots or rubs! She even seems more comfortable and has a smoother gait now.Shelbie Serniak & Barrel Racer
We compete with our dogs and horses in field trials. Our horse Bailey is a valuable member of our team, but unfortunately we have not been able to count on him for more than a few hours a day as he would get really sore. We have tried many different saddle pads and cinches with little to no improvement. From the very first day with Kinequus, Bailey has never gotten sore and has amazed us with his ability as an all-day horse.Tom & Kim & Amigo Kennels
We recently went to Montana to do some serious training and trialing and Bailey never missed a minute of the three-week trip. The weekend after we were in Trail, BC and Bailey was used in mountainous terrain for two full straight days as a judge’s horse. We have tried many cinches over many years but unfortunately Bailey would always get sores but not on these trips or since we have gotten the new saddle pad!
We will certainly be buying two more for our other horses as well.
